Jamie Angelle is an anchor for News 15 Today. Born and raised in Saint Martin Parish, Jamie graduated from Breaux Bridge High School in 1997 and attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where he studied mass communication. Jamie later graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in sociology from Saint Leo University in Tampa, Florida. He also has an associates degree in Spanish from the Defense Language Institute. During his time at UL he also worked at KATC-TV 3 as the assignment editor and news producer. He later became a reporter at a Lake Charles television station and freelanced print reporting. During his early career, Jamie covered a variety of national level events including the crash of the space shuttle Colombia and Hurricane Lili. In 2004, Jamie decided to leave the news business and joined the United States Army as an intelligence analyst. During his military career, he served in various locations including Colombia, Mexico City, and a tour in Baghdad, Iraq. After 13 years of serving his country he was medically retired in early 2017 and decided to return home to southwest Louisiana.
